Students & Teachers

Spark_Lab is PICA’s education program, designed to foster creativity and innovation through hands on experience with contemporary art.

Spark_Lab brings students and teachers up close and personal with contemporary artists, dancers, theatre makers, musicians and innovators across a wide range of disciplines through an exciting program of events, activities and online resources.

Your primary and secondary school students can learn new artistic skills, connect with contemporary art ideas and experiment with innovative art materials and processes through Spark_Lab’s workshops. Workshops can be conducted here at PICA or at your school.

Designed to complement the exhibition currently on at PICA, workshops are the perfect way to connect with the ideas learned in a tour.

These hands-on workshops make links with the curriculum as well as the themes, materials and processes used by the exhibiting artists.
