Come on a contemplative journey through the streets, suburbs and open spaces of Taipei and Perth.
Devised by an extraordinary interdisciplinary team, each performance of 歸屬 Gui Shu (Belong) fuses dance, music, sound and video projections live on stage.
The result of a 4-year intercultural exchange, this moving new work by Steamworks Arts asks how our understanding of self and home are shaped by our experiences with others.
歸屬 Gui Shu (Belong) is an invitation to reflect on moments of isolation, connection and finding your way.

ABOUT SALLY RICHARDSON
Sally Richardson is one of WA’s most experienced and respected independent artists working across the performing arts. A director, writer, dramaturg and producer she is passionately committed to the creation of new work and developing collaborations with other artists in this region, championing the voice, artistry and presence of women in the performing arts.
She has developed, produced and toured over 30 original works through her company Steamworks Arts and is Artistic Director of MAXIMA Circus (Fearless (2017-18). Recent productions include directing MEDEA for Black Swan Theatre, world premieres CATCH! (AWESOME Festival) and Aust/Taiwan collaboration CONNECT for Asialink/TAV Tenth Anniversary exhibition in Taipei. In 2019 she is part of Australia Council’s Arts Leaders program and a Playwriting Australia DUOLOGUES recipient. She is a PhD creative research fellow at ECU WAAPA.
