At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

An Internal Difficulty Book Launch

An Internal Difficulty Book Launch

We’re celebrating the art of writing with a special book launch of the much anticipated publication: An Internal Difficulty. Featuring writing by Carol Seigel, Director of the Freud Museum London, curator Dr. Janine Burke, an authority of Freud’s collections, this book captures the extraordinary exhibition installation at PICA and the work of trailblazing Western Australian artists. To be launched by Margaret Moore, Visual Arts Manager, Perth International Arts Festival.
An Internal Difficulty begins its Western Australian tour through ART ON THE MOVE at Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery on Friday August 7.
