Following on from his latest video project and self-published book, film maker and visual artist Peter Cheng will be developing an extension of his arts documentary project entitled Perth Artists. Peter’s practice engages with established and emerging artists working from Perth, Western Australia and opens a dialogue surrounding art practice, approach, means and context. Peter’s work uses mixed mediums to profile a selection of artists and document & explore Perth’s growing art scene.
In the upcoming extension of the Perth Artists project, Peter hopes to profile a new selection of artists ranging diverse creative fields to develop a contemporarily relevant and holistic understanding of local artisanship. Peter will also begin work on developing networks with interstate artists, to expand his exploration to a national level in the years to come.
