At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

Solo Stage: Here Now

Solo Stage: Here Now

In 2019, WAAPA’s adventurous young theatre-makers throw down the gauntlet to create and perform original solo works inspired by what matters to them, right HERE, right NOW! The works will be shaped by contemporary performance practice to boldly comment on what the world needs, now and for its future.

Expect personal, political, philosophical, intimate and provocative work from these emerging performance makers.

If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, I will answer you: I AM HERE TO LIVE OUT LOUD.” – Emile Zola
