Vertigo

5 July - 2 September

A balance disorder that produces an uncontrollable spinning sensation, vertigo is a unique sensory experience that floods the mind and puts the individual off kilter. Nine Australasian artists tackle this sensation in Vertigo , an exhibition of sculpture, installation, painting, drawing and video. Investigating sensory experiences, temporality, change and impermanence, Vertigo incorporates works that employ kinetic and perceptual elements. Artists navigate this challenge in complex and surprising ways, giving visual forms to the underlying sense of uncertainty and instability that pervades everyday existence.
