Hatched: National Graduate Show

Congratulations on being nominated for the Hatched: National Graduate Show 2024! 

To be eligible for selection you must complete the online application form.
Please do not share this link with anyone. Only students who have been nominated by their university are eligible to apply for Hatched.

Applications are due at 11:59 pm-midnight (Perth time), Friday 15 December 2023.

Please find below guidelines that may assist with your application along with information about the selection and exhibition process. Please take your time to review this document carefully.

The online application form must be completed in one session and cannot be saved. We recommend that you copy your answers into a separate document for your own records. An email acknowledging receipt will be sent to you. This email is a confirmation that your application has been received and will be assessed.

This statement should be approximately 200 words written in the third person and should provide an understanding of the breadth of your artistic practice.
This statement should be approximately 200 words written in the third person and should provide a clear description of the works or series of works being submitted for assessment. Its purpose is to give the Selection Panel an understanding of the work by providing insight into the motivation, ideas, processes and techniques used in the making of the work.
Please provide a selection of 5 -10 images that document a series of works produced during your graduating year.

Images need to be submitted in a Dropbox folder. Provide the link in the allocated field below. . Please send the Dropbox folder as a shared link, not an invitation to a specific email address. To share a link, press ‘share’ on the folder, and press ‘create link instead’, then ‘copy link’.

Please title your Dropbox as follows: Surname, Firstname_Institution Name_Hatched 2024 All image files supplied must be numbered and titled with the following details: Image #_Artist name, Artwork Title, year, Photographer’s credit

• Images should be at a low resolution, up to 2MB each.*
Please note that should your application be successful you will then be required to provide high-resolution versions of these images.
• Images should be in focus and well-lit.
• Images must be in JPEG files.
Video & Audio Files
If your practice includes video, audio or other multi-media files please submit URL links of the work on YouTube or Vimeo below. You can also provide video documentation of a performance, interactive, kinetic artwork or installation. Please make sure the links have been tested from multiple browsers. Note – Please provide usernames of login passwords if needed.
Website & Online Platforms
Please provide links to your artist website or online platforms such as Instagram only if they are relevant or integral to your practice. Please note that by providing these links you understand the selection panel will view these platforms as part of the selection process.
Please provide a list of artwork details for the works included in the support material you have provided. Please use the following format: Image #_Title, medium / materials, year, dimensions (H x W x D cm) or duration
