David Attwood

David Attwood

David Attwood is an artist living on Whadjuk Noongar country. He holds a PhD from Curtin University, and in 2019 completed the SOMA Summer program, Mexico City. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally, and his work is held in Australian public collections, including the Art Gallery of Western Australia and Artbank. Alongside his studio practice, Attwood directs the independent project space Disneyland Paris. He acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which he lives and works.

“How did Hatched help to develop your practice or career?”

Showing in Hatched helped me to think about things on a larger scale, with regards to peers and like-minded practitioners. It encouraged me to want to participate nationally as an artist, and to think about how to do that.
