Dr Harold Schenberg Arts Awards Recipients

During his lifetime, Dr Harold Schenberg was a great supporter of emerging artists. With his passing in 2000, Dr Schenberg’s legacy lives on through the Dr Harold Schenberg Arts Awards presented each year at PICA’s Hatched: National Graduate Show.

These prestigious awards were established in 2009 and are a highlight of Hatched. Contributing over $600,000 in award prizes to date, the Dr Harold Schenberg Arts Awards have enabled Hatched artists to invest in the pursuit of ambitious ideas and career development.

PICA is pleased to be working with The University of Western Australia on these awards for emerging artists, made possible by funds bequeathed to UWA by Dr Harold Schenberg.
