PICA brings students and teachers up close and personal with contemporary artists, dancers, theatre makers, musicians and innovators across a wide range of disciplines through an exciting program of events, activities and on-line resources.

PICA is committed to presenting a program of art and ideas that engages, excites and educates. Through the Education Program, PICA seeks to foster a lifelong interest in the arts amongst students by introducing them to the exciting world of contemporary art through creative and engaging activities.

Featuring guided tours, activities, education kits and online resources, PICA provides carefully designed, accessible and rewarding programs which complement the artistic program.

The dedicated Education Studio located in PICA’s historic building in the Perth Cultural Centre introduces new ways for teachers and students to talk about and engage with art. Primary and Secondary students take part in multi-disciplinary activities that help them think creatively, practice leadership skills and develop self-efficacy.
