A Voice from the Dark Space

Decibel is Western Australia’s new music group presenting acoustic and electronic instrumental concert formats, incorporating installation and improvisation.

A Voice from the Dark Space is the first concert in a series of 3 performances in PICA’s Main Gallery Space. A Voice from the Dark Space brings a musical experience that studies the dark, the quiet and the mysterious landscape.

The concert program includes new works by ensemble members Lindsay Vickery and Cat Hope, music by Cornelous Cardew and Malcom Riddoch as well as Decibel commissions from Adam Trainer and Alan Lamb. Also featured in the program is Decibel’s arrangement of Ennio Morricone’s The Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti. Special guest mezzo-soprano, Caitlin Cassidy.
