Andrew Varano will be approaching his studio residency as an opportunity to bring together the varied and often completely disparate concerns of his last three years at art school. Working against the broad academic opinion, an obviously futile effort will be made to develop a master narrative that will attempt to place ideas such as gloablisation, societal collapse, the readymade, Le Corbusier’s modular, isolation, and pragmatism into a single ‘theory of everything’.
