Cardboard Carpentry

TUESDAY 10 JULY, 1– 2PM

Join our Hatched Artist in Resident Sacha Barker on a journey of creating with cardboard!

Cardboard carpentry is a term coined to describe the crafting of cardboard as if it were wood. This hands-on building workshop is perfect for young artists and inventors who want to become apprentice cardboard carpenters!

On display at this workshop you will also discover the ThingShip, a pre-made design from artist Sacha Baker! The ThingShip has many cardboard compartments and a few secret treasures inside. Participants are invited to bring a small handheld object (small enough to be hidden inside a closed fist) to exchange with an object already in the ThingShip!
A perfect activity for the school holidays. Participants must be 12+ or supervised by a parent or guardian.
