Catastrophes is a new contemporary performance work on the fulcrum of internal and external crises. Inspired by the concept of the performance lecture and a heightened poetic, sonic and image-based dramaturgy. Catastrophes asks what it means to be a parent today – amidst raging bushfires, rising waters, global pandemics – and how can truth-telling (in performance) be an act of self-care, a radical kindness? Catastrophes explores the interior and exterior catastrophe, about learning — and leaning toward — humanity and humility.
