At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm . Our exhibitions are always free.

Chaos Célèbre: Telling Your Story

Chaos Célèbre: Telling Your Story
Join Daley King, the creator and performer of Lipstuck, in an explorative workshop examining strategies to harness personal chaoses , your cause célèbre and manifest them as art.
With a focus on deconstructing the status quo, and challenging hierarchical systems, this deep dive is designed for emerging art practitioners working at the intersection of identity, especially any artist who might find themselves currently at the crossroads of curation and creation.
You’ll collaborate with Daley and the other attending artists to figure out what it is you want to say, how you want to say it, and what tools you’ll need to bring it to life. No matter your creative medium, there’s always an opportunity for both self-expression and socio-political engagement with your art.
Bring yourself, a sense of mischief, a writing or recording tool, and be ready to share. It’s time for us to celebrate your chaos!
