Hatched 2020 Artist Floor Talk

Saturday 1 August | 2pm - 3pm

Hatched Curatorial Fellow Miranda Johnson will be leading a conversation with four WA Hatched artists, to unpack their artworks and discuss their broader art practice.

Annie Huang’s practice navigates a deeper understanding of the second-generation Chinese-Australian migrant identity, exploring the concept of home and belonging in a state of cultural dislocation.

Daniel Kristjansson creates work explores compositional complexity, striving to capture the experience of encountering a complicated, ambiguous thing and compulsively searching out details within it.

Siahne Rogers’ practice stems from their extensive background in performing arts and cabaret theatre, and their interest in the relationship between humour and everyday life.

PICA has adopted a COVID Safe and aware approach to our operations.  Depending on government guidelines in place on 1 August, attendance numbers for this event may need to be monitored and capped.  If so, entry will be granted on a first come, first in basis. Regardless, we ask all attendees to join PICA in being COVID Safe and aware – please stay home if you are displaying cold/flu symptoms, observe physical distancing and use our hand sanitising stations throughout the building.  We appreciate your cooperation!
