At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

Jeppe Hein

In partnership with the Perth International Arts Festival, PICA presents the first solo exhibition in Australia by highly acclaimed Danish Artist, Jeppe Hein. An exciting survey of major works by the artist will be brought together and presented both inside the vast galleries of PICA, and outside in the busy Cultural Centre with the epic water installation, Appearing Rooms.

The exhibition invites visitors to experience Hein’s carefully constructed and playful work. Hein radically combines art, architecture and technical innovation to create captivating and utterly contemporary works that challenge the rules which govern behaviour and one’s relationship to art.

Appearing Rooms, Jeppe Hein’s water installation can be viewed in the Perth Cultural Centre 11am-9pm daily
