KISS club 2020 Digital Pass
The in-house version of KISS club 2020 has SOLD OUT. We are thrilled to release a digital pass for those who missed out on tickets and living in other regions. You can now watch the performances from the comfort of your own home.
The digital pass provides entry to a private playlist on PICA’s Youtube, featuring artist interviews and digital performances. After purchasing a ticket, you will be sent access information and may view the videos at your leisure anytime from 11 – 20 September, 2020.
This digital version of KISS club 2020 is a ticketed event based on pay what you want. Proceeds will support PICA’s ongoing programming and ability to support artists.
KISS club is a performance event for ideas in development, this year featuring 7 works from an exciting selection of Perth artists working across live and experimental performance. Co-curated by PICA and pvi collective, artists will present 10 minutes of a work in progress to an audience, giving them a chance to trial new ideas and receive immediate and supportive feedback.
“I love KISS club. The freedom that it gives artists to try new, difficult and unlikely things is unlike any other short form performance night.” – audience member, 2019
KISS club is always a rich collision of evolving ideas and art forms. In 2020 it packs a flavoursome hit! Artists are playing with the participatory, the poetic, the performance lecture, social experiments with currency, musical possibilities of neurological equipment, VR playgrounds with imaginary friends, and choose-your-own-adventures.
KISS club 2020 reveals an appetite from artists to unpack global and social pressure points including notions around nature, colonisation, agency, power, sex, wealth and social and cultural relationships.
We’d normally say “pucker up, Perth” but this time we’ll rephrase and swap the kiss for a hearty “welcome back”.
