At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm . Our exhibitions are always free.

Open Studio Night: Jenn Garland and Danielle Reynolds

Open Studio Night: Jenn Garland and Danielle Reynolds

Open Studio Night is PICA’s most popular series of artist talks that connect you personally with our current studio residents and provide invaluable insight into the artists’ processes and practices.
PICA’s first open studio for the year brings you two outstanding multi-disciplinary artists. Beginning from a ‘found’ image, Danielle Reynolds (VIC) examines the dog as a metaphorical vehicle for human absurdities. Jenn Garland (WA) will develop works that simulate places that are in the process of being ‘unmade’ and returning to landscapes.
Grab a drink from PICA Bar and join us as we are taken inside the artist studios with PICA’s Senior Curator, Eugenio Viola.
