Open Studios

Saturday 28 September| 3pm - 5pm

The PICA Residency Program offers opportunities for artists to push the boundaries of their genre, and our current artists in residence have been no exception!

Join us from 3pm to 4pm for Layli Rakhsha’s Open Studio entitled “Between Places”, where she will guide us through the techniques, triumphs and challenges of her creative process – as well as show us the incredible work she has completed during her residency. Explore with through Layli Rakhsha’s work how home can be defined by personal, social, and cultural experiences and relationships.

Following this from 4pm – 5pm , Noémie Huttner-Koros will deliver “The Trouble Makers” – a new participatory performance work investigating community and hope-building amidst the rubble of the climate crisis. Come and join us as we plot a bold new way of kicking it to the Anthropocene. Let Noémie serve you both performance magic and an ethically sourced meal at this dinner party to remember. There are limited seats at the table though, so remember to register for this one-of-a-kind experience!
