Professional Learning for Artists and Educators | Animating Fashion

Saturday 15 October

Artist and designer Emma Buswell will facilitate this workshop inspired by Justene William’s use of digital collage in her exhibition The Curtain Breathed Deeply. Looking at haute couture fashion labels such as Gucci, the focus will be on how technology has changed the way we engage with art and fashion. In this workshop Emma will facilitate the use of photographic and video based software and include the application of simple apps such as Plastic Animation Studio to animate fabrics and drawing.

This professional learning event supports the curriculum areas including: The Arts – Visual Arts, Media, Design – Design & Technologies; Technologies – Materials Design & Technology.

Please note: Bring one or two items of clothing (eg. a t-shirt, shorts, skirt, pants, jumper or hat) to transform into wearable art. Ipads are supplied but you are welcome to bring your own.
