At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

Proximity Festival

Proximity Festival

In October the entire PICA building will be transformed by twelve new intimate performances tailor-made for an audience of one.
Leave a trace of yourself in the gallery of impermanent things, destroy an artwork and make another, experiment with plants, hunt or be hunted. There are few limitations in Proximity Festival, but one rule remains – one artist and one audience member alone, in a space together.
Select a program of four performances lasting 80 minutes or experience a marathon of all twelve performances in four hours.
Curated by James Berlyn and Sarah Rowbottam with Provocateur Kelli Mccluskey.
ALL TICKETS SOLD OUT FOR PROXIMITY FESTIVAL 2013!
