At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

School Holiday Workshops: Body pARTS - Sculpture-making Workshops

Join visual artist Lex Randolph for an anatomical textiles workshop inspired by Laetitia Olivier-Gargano’s freaky, fleshy sculptures in Hatched 2016. You will stitch, stuff, snip and stick your very own scientific specimen to take home in a jar.
Lex has worked in the Community Arts and Cultural Development, and Arts and Health sectors for over 10 years as an Artist, Facilitator, and Project Manager. He is currently producing abstract textile pieces, quirky watercolour paintings and ink illustrations.
Lex recently completed an artist residency at Paper Mountain ARI.
