At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Slutdrop

Slutdrop
Presented by PICA as part of FRINGE WORLD 2020
No touching. No phones allowed. Please don’t get your dick out.
Slutdrop is a personal performance-documentary from an ex-stripper.
A strut in six-inch heels through movies, music and the media’s portrayal of what it means to work in the sex industry. Pop songs mix with periods in this intimate striptease that uncovers the industry’s secrets. Created and performed by Jacinta Larcombe, she recalls stories of change room talk and being told she reminds customers of a friend’s daughter.
Using drag, pie graphs and real stories from real strippers, Slutdrop uses Larcombe’s childlike visual art to create a larger-than-life experience. Think: Monica’s House from Playschool but set in the red-light district.
Peer behind the curtains in a story that bares all.

Initial concept developed at KISS club 2019 with PICA and pvi collective.
