At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

A Place of Your Own: Residencies and studios

For artists based in Perth, Western Australia interstate or international studio residencies are one of the most fulfilling ways to have an international art practice. Local artist Olga Cironis has undertaken a variety of artistic residencies both locally and nationally and will join us to lead a discussion about her own residency experiences. The workshop will cover devising suitable residency projects, working with local communities and making the most of your time as an artist-in-residence. You will also look at existing residency opportunities & begin developing your own residency proposal.
