At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Lisa Collyer

Quick Response Artist-in-Residence

Quick Response Artist-in-Residence

During her residency at PICA, poet Lisa Collyer will develop The Holes in the Bones, an interdisciplinary project that draws inspiration from other art forms.

This will be Collyer’s third poetry collection and will draw inspiration from PICA’s exhibitions program, exploring healing, reinvention and transcendence in the spirit of art as play. The collection will centre around artistic process, drawing inspiration from artists in other genres to play with experimental techniques to develop lyric poetry.
