At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

The Finishing Touch: Documenting and installing your work

The Finishing Touch: Documenting and installing your work

This workshop will give emerging artists a strong understanding of the best practices for installing and documenting their work for exhibitions. Artist Janet Carter will discuss different forms of documentation including photography for condition reporting, marketing, and catalogues. In the practical portion of this workshop, you will be guided through the do’s and don’ts of installation, such as creating works for touring, and how to prepare your work to be installed. Participants are encouraged to bring photos of their current work and any installation questions to discuss.
