We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

SPARK_LAB PARTNER SCHOOL TO PERFORM AS A CURTAIN RAISER FOR 'DRILL'

In 2015 Ahilan Ratnamohan presented SDS1 at PICA. While he was in Perth he took some time out from performing to run a series of workshops combining sport and movement with the students of Warnbro Community High School, PICA’s Spark_Lab Learning Program partner school. Working with dance students across years 8 – 11, Ahil said of the experience “I just hope that from seeing the stuff I do they get a totally different perspective of what dance can be”.

The videos below document the workshops that Ahil held at Warnbro CHS and give an inside look into what they got up to over the course of the workshops.

Ahil is back in Perth 24 – 27 February to present his newest production Drill and we are excited to announce that a selection of Warnbro CHS students will be performing at PICA during his season!

These students will perform a short sequence inspired by Ahil’s workshops prior to the Friday 26 February showing of Drill.

Tickets to Drill are now available, book before Monday 1 February to receive the early bird offer of $20 here!
