At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

Performances

PICA curates an annual program of contemporary performance, including dance, theatre, experimental performance, sound and music. Our performance seasons include new commissions, touring shows, one-off experiences and creative developments.

PICA works closely with performance artists and companies who are committed to pushing the boundaries of their genre and presenting works that are conceptually, formally and technologically rigorous. PICA’s program of performance includes the work of WA, national and international artists.

PICA provides a site for experimentation, critical analysis, discussion and debate. We work with artists at all stages of their careers, including an annual partnership with WAAPA to support new graduates. As the home for contemporary performance in Perth, PICA is committed to enabling an ecology of performance practice that grows and develops through diversity, challenging perspectives and experimental creative forms.

Online you will find information on our upcoming and past performance seasons, including booking and ticketing information.
