At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are closed today. Our exhibitions are always free.

Curator Leigh Robb leaving PICA

Curator Leigh Robb leaving PICA

It is with much sadness but great pride that we announce that Leigh Robb, our wonderful Curator of six years, will be leaving PICA to take up the newly formed position of Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Leigh has contributed significantly to PICA’s growth and standing and has spearheaded visionary exhibitions including the impressive survey exhibition of Pilar Mata Dupont and Tarryn Gill’s collaborative work, solo exhibitions of Tracey Moffatt, Richard Bell, John Gerrard, Ross Manning, Consuelo Cavanigilia, George Egerton-Warburton, Erin Coates, and Alex Spremberg as well as significant thematic shows such as Dead Ringer (2015), What I See When I Look at Sound (2014), One Place After Another: AC4CA (2014), Alternating Currents: Japanese Art after March 2011 (2011), and Hijacked 3 (2012).

Leigh will finish up here at PICA in February.

We hope you join us in wishing her the absolute best in this exciting new step in her career!
