We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

How To Disappear CompletelyDavid Thomson’s practice declares a commitment to process, time and labour. To date his paintings, works on paper, wall drawings, and sculptural objects have been reductive, yet animated, combining vivid oscillating colour with a geometric opticality. During his residency Thomson will create a body of work according to a set of predetermined instructions or limitations. Employing simple manual processes and formal constructions of repeating patterns, lines and shapes the work will be conceived as something that resolves from an intimately hands-on negotiation of materials.
