The Midnight March

24 November, 6–7pm

Responding to group exhibition I don’t want to be there when it happens, The Midnight March is a performance that explores the migration of the 12 million people who were displaced during the India-Pakistan partition.

Indian-born, Perth-based Choreographer Jay Emmanuel will create The Midnight March with performers from Indian and Pakistani communities to collectively march into the reverberating memory of the partition.

The performance will be followed by a Q&A with Jay and PICA Senior Curator Eugenio Viola.
