At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

We are open 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

BIKINI EYE part 2

BIKINI EYE part 2

Bianca Martin and Deborah Robertson began the BIKINI EYE project at the Australian Choreographic Centre, Canberra in July 2007. This project continues at PICA with their investigation into art, sport, pornography and being Australian, all while keeping an eye on the television. Martin and Roberston are both drawn to making work which is inclusive for first time viewers of dance theatre. Their work is conceived to have both a sophisticated movement vocabulary and an underlying entertainment value. It incorporates snippets of stories drawn from broad ranging themes, developed into choreography and film.
