In the first Curatorial Residency offered by PICA, Consuelo Cavaniglia will bring her interest in the usage and subdivision of built-up space in the city to the develop a number of curatorial projects. Cavaniglia will use the residency to research sites within the city of Perth and engage local artists to respond to and activate these sites through installations and interventions. These interventions may last as briefly as an hour or endure permanently. By engaging some of the disused spaces within the city whilst also re-presenting highly visible, iconic areas, these projects seek to create new points of connection between the artists, curator, audience and the city.
