FLOCK #9

Wed 10 Apr | 5.30pm - 9pm

FLOCK is a monthly forum for Perth’s independent and freelance artists to share practice and conversation with each other. This April is hosted by PICA.
WORKSHOP

What does sound look like?
Reframing how we listen to sound, percussionist Louise Devenish leads participants through exercises and discussions exploring the links between the visual and the aural. Bring your practice to this experience to investigate the transformation of what you hear. All art forms welcome.
EAT
Bring a plate of something sweet or savoury to share at dinner break.
CONVERSATION
Mentoring – how to do it well?
Facilitated by Alex Desebrock
What formal and informal mentorships have you experienced as a mentee or mentor. What works? What doesn’t? How could we imagine a FLOCK mentoring program?
Independent artists, all disciplines, all stages of career are welcome to attend FLOCK for free. FLOCK is hosted by a different WA arts organisation each month. The group is committed to activating, discussing and raising awareness of best practice in the independent arts sector.
