At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

Love Me

Love Me

The intimate beats of our emotional lives find mesmerising physical expression in Love Me’s three short dance works. A woman dances her heart out under the oblivious gaze of a projected lover. Body fragments twist and flex in pockets of light, in a disturbing struggle for control. Two bodies engage in a duet of icy detachment to the boiling point of human emotion. Here, acclaimed choreographer Lucy Guerin combines her unique movement sensibility with the work of some of Australia’s best dancers, visual & screen artists and sound designers.
