At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm . Our exhibitions are always free.

Stitch & Bitch: A Quilting Workshop

Join Eric C, one of the 2018 Hatched artists, and her mother Linda to learn introductory patchwork and hand quilting. Unstitch barriers around craft and inherited identity through considered conversation and mindfulness. Basic materials provided, starting you off on a hand pieced 9 patch block. The skills learned will provide you with the foundations for patchwork and quilting to use in your future craft projects.
