At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

Sound in the Round Artist Talks and Book Launch

Sound in the Round Artist Talks and Book Launch

Join artists, musicians and writers together with curator Leigh Robb for an open discussion about making, curating and experiencing sound art. Matthew Gingold will discuss his radio filament ‘orkestra’; Kynan Tan will elaborate on visualizing sound through data mapping, and Cat Hope will muse on composing and interpreting graphic notation scores and will speak about her new artist book, The End of Abe Sade.
The book will be launched by the ‘dangerously inspirational’ writer and film and culture guru Jack Sargeant who will also do a special reading!
