At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm . Our exhibitions are always free.

Define, Refine, Repeat: Writing about your practice

Define, Refine, Repeat: Writing about your practice

Led by artists and writers Anna Dunnill and Finn O’Branagain, this session will cover how to write about your practice for a variety of real-world applications such as exhibition proposals, grant applications and artist statements. At the end of the workshop, you’ll come away with a greater understanding about how to write about your work for different audiences, and will get the chance to create an ‘elevator pitch’ on your practice to present at the end of the workshop.
