At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm . Our exhibitions are always free.

Open Studio Night | December

Open Studio Night | December

Open Studio Night is PICA’s most popular series of artist talks that connect you personally with our current studio residents. This particular group of Australian and international artists explore transcultural contexts, apophenia and memories in their multi-disciplinary practices.

Join us as we are taken inside the studios of Kate Moss & Magni Borgehed (WA/SWE), Luisa Hansal (VIC) and Tom Blake (WA). Facilitator for the evening will be Anna Louise Richardson. Anna is an emerging Western Australian artist and curator whose practice focuses on rural identity. She has curated projects for Next Wave Festival, VIC, was a curatorial intern for the 2016 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art, SA and is currently the Assistant Curator for High Tide – inaugural Fremantle Biennale 2017, WA. Anna works for Artsource and is represented by MARS Gallery, VIC.
