Galleries are open 12–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

First Floor Facilities

Screen Space 

In the Screen Space, you can watch video works. It is located opposite the main lift on the first floor. You can also access the mezzanine balcony from here.  

Mezzanine 

The mezzanine has a balcony that overlooks the Central Galleries on the ground floor. Artworks are often on display on the mezzanine, which also functions as both an extension of exhibition space for the West End Gallery and the Judy Wheeler Commission. 

The West End Gallery is a large open exhibition space. It may be light or dark, depending on the requirements of the current exhibition.  

Bathrooms 

On the first floor there are toilets, including an accessibility toilet with baby change facilities, handrails, automatic soap dispenser and an assistance alert button.   

The bathrooms are located at the end of the balcony and through the doorway on the same side as the lift and Screen Space.
