At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.
Always was, always will be.
Galleries are open today, 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.
Ahilan Ratnamohan, Connor van Vuuren, Imanuel Dado
Ahilan Ratnamohan
After a brief residency earlier this year, Ahilan Ratnamohan is back at PICA continuing the development a new ensemble work entitled Drill, with stunt-man Connor van Vuuren and Perth-based b-boy dancer Imanuel Dado. Ahilan and his collaborators will be exploring the potential for choreography borne out of athletic training techniques taken from a variety of sports. The piece will consist of choreographic frameworks from dance, drawing on a movement vocabulary that is entirely sport-based.
