At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.
Always was, always will be.
We are open 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.
AYESHA SINGH
Cross-Hatchings: New Delhi-Perth Residency
While on residency in Boorloo (Perth), Delhi based artist, Ayesha Singh will research the movement of people and communities in and out of the city. With a focus on architecture, she will consider the histories of communities that have been hidden, displaced and removed, responding to this research through the development of site-specific installations, conversations and community gatherings.
Along with WA artist Sid Pattni, Ayesha Singh inaugurates Cross-Hatchings, a new partnership between PICA and Khōj that enables mid-career artists to develop their work in new cultural contexts, building global networks and sharing their projects with new audiences.
