Falling Through Clouds

Falling Through Clouds

Presented by The Last Great Hunt and PICA.

From the award-winning creators of international hits The Adventures of Alvin Sputnik: Deep Sea Explorer and It’s Dark Outside, comes a dark tale of reaching for the impossible.

Mary has a wild imagination. By day she raises birds from extinction but at night she dreams of flight. The possibilities are endless. If she can dream it then it can be … but the imagination can be a dangerous thing.

Falling Through Clouds is a visual epic told by some of Australia’s most innovative storytellers. This daring tale is brought to life with puppetry, animation, live performance and an original soundtrack by award-winning composer Ash Gibson Greig.

Tim Watts, Arielle Gray, Chris Isaacs and Adriane Daff return home to Perth to present their first new work since the internationally acclaimed It’s Dark Outside. ‘Every time I make a show I learn to trust the creative process and follow impulses that at first seem like a complete waste of time but in the end result in something that is really great‘ says co-creator Tim Watts.

Falling Through Clouds is a must-see show; a truly original piece of work by some of Australia’s best up and coming artists. Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts and The Last Great Hunt are delighted to present this new production.
