About the artists

Currently studying at the University of Western Australia, Germaine Chan is a mixed media artist exploring spirituality, faith, and the complexities of human experience. Blending instinctive techniques with conceptual frameworks in painting and digital mediums, she reimagines themes of divinity and the soul through a contemporary lens, drawing inspiration from religious traditions.

Mandana Eizadi is an Iranian Australian emerging artist who completed her studies at North Metropolitan TAFE in 2024. Her mixed-media, fibre-based practice is informed by her lived experience and explores themes of female identity, displacement, domestic violence and resilience. Her practice is underpinned by collective personal and narratives, symbolism and sustainability.

Mim Kowner is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, installation, video, drawing and printmaking. Their artistic concerns seek to explore ideas around identity, gender and intersections between human beings, objects and materiality within the cultural, social and personal. Enduring participation in various male dominated action sports allowed Kowner to experience the transformative and empowering effects of sport firsthand.

Grace Yong is a Chinese-Malaysian artist based in Western Australia who works in painting, Chinese calligraphy and video art. Her creative process often involves weaving traditional and contemporary mediums to explore tensions between family histories and language that exists within a mixed-culture identity.
