At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Galleries are closed until 7 February. Our exhibitions are always free.

Hatched 21st Birthday Party

Hatched 21st Birthday Party

This year, the exhibition that has launched the careers of many Australian artists turns 21!
Reaching such a milestone is cause for celebration and having been there since the beginning, we feel a sense of pride now that Hatched is all grown up. Being the proud parents that we are, with the help of our friends at RTRFM 92.1, we are hosting a party in the amphitheatre of the Perth Cultural Centre!
Combined with the launch the Hatched 2012 exhibition, the party will also feature live broadcasts, DJ’s and video mash-ups on the Amphitheatre screen. The PICA Bar will be in full-swing and there will pop-up performances by a Hatched artists, combining art, music, video and performance in the cultural hub of Perth!
