At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm. Our exhibitions are always free.

Hatched Opening Night Party

Hatched Opening Night Party

In celebration of PICA’s beloved exhibition Hatched: National Graduate Show 2024, we are hosting an Opening Night party to welcome 22 of Australia’s most exciting art school graduates from across the nation.

Join us for a night of music from crowd favourite Ningaloo Records and the release of our 2024 Hatched merch designed by Hatched alumni and WA artist Isaac Huggins. Grab a drink from the Picabar pop-up bar and toast the next generation of artistic voices.

2024 marks the 15th anniversary of the Dr Harold Schenberg Arts Awards. This year three $15,000 awards will be presented at PICA’s Hatched Opening Party, with the final People’s Choice Award of $5,000 given to one artist at the end of the exhibition.
