Illustrated Lecture with Eugenio Viola

Leading Italian curator and art critic Eugenio Viola and newly appointed Senior Curator at PICA will present an illustrated lecture that offers an overview of his curatorial practice to date. He will speak about some key projects at MADRE, the Contemporary Art Museum of Naples, where he served as Curator at Large from 2013 to 2016. These will include large-scale solo exhibitions by Boris Mikhailov and Francis Alÿs as well as a complex Daniel Buren project. . He will also talk about projects he has undertaken as a guest curator for several Italian and international institutions, including solo exhibitions devoted to Regina José Galindo, Marina Abramović and ORLAN, along with his exhibition for the Estonian Pavilion at the 56th Venice Biennale.
