At PICA we recognise that we are situated within the unceded lands of the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects and offer our gratitude to Elders past and present, and to those emerging leaders in the community. We acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the importance of their care and continued connection to culture, community and Country.

Always was, always will be.

Our foyer is open today 10am–5pm . Our exhibitions are always free.

Open Studio Night | Jarrad Martyn and Elaine Reynolds

Open Studio Night is PICA’s most popular series of artist talks that connect you personally with our current studio residents and provide invaluable insight into the artists’ processes and practices.
Join us for an exciting evening of discussion with Jarrad Martyn (WA) and Elaine Reynolds (IRL). Martyn seeks to question how different moments in Australian history have been framed, focusing on how we are engaging with the natural landscape. In a new body of work developed during her residency at PICA, Reynolds will see the continuation of on-going research that examines cycles of migration from Ireland to Western Australia, as well as the impact of the extractive industries in the region.
Join us as we are taken inside the artist studios.
