Experience the diversity and vibrancy of the All That Country Holds and Revealed: New and Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists exhibitions with a weekend of artist yarns, gallery floor talks, artist-led workshops and programming from Rubibi (Broome)-based Indigenous publishers, Magabala Books, in residence at the PICA Shop 17–19 April.
In 2026, for the second time, PICA will host the Revealed exhibition, an annual showcase established in 2008 that brings together Aboriginal art centres and independent artists from across Western Australia. This powerful exhibition, presented under the custodianship of the Aboriginal Art Centre Hub of Western Australia (AACHWA), showcases the breadth of contemporary Aboriginal artistic practice across the state, offering a unique opportunity for audiences to connect with the artists and their work.
Audiences of all ages are invited to join us for these thought-provoking conversations and hands-on art-making workshops led by exhibiting artists. Engage with wet-media processes and specialist art making techniques in this free and welcoming program.

Aboriginal owned and led, Magabala Books publishes up to 18 new titles each year across children’s books, memoir, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, social history and poetry. All That Country Holds: Brunch Yarns
Start the day with a brunch yarn in the gallery with the exhibiting artists in All That Country Holds.
In conversation with guest curator Zali Morgan, and set in PICA’s West End Gallery, hear from the artists as they share reflections on their practice, lived experience and enduring connections to Country.
Complimentary brunch will be provided by PICA.

Artist-led Workshop
Hand block printing workshop
Meet four of the Nagula Jarndu artists from Broome whose work features in this years Revealed exhibition. Artists will share their practice and discuss how Country, language and culture are expressed through their designs.
You will be guided to reflect on where you live and what you call home, using landscape and memory as creative starting points. With one-on-one support from artists and PICA staff, you will design and carve your own rubber block stamp, learn block printing techniques through artist demonstrations, and print a small textile piece (tote bag or tea towel) to take home.
